Magnetic Pick-up Tool

A very weird extendable magnetic tool a friend of mine found in her rented flat. Don't ask me what its purpose is. I have no idea.
Considering how the shape of the object is fairly simple, with this project I focused more on understanding how to render slight dirt and color variation on the plastic, and how to achieve the right balance of scratches and minor imperfections on the metal. All these tiny details could easily have given an impression of noise and chaos if not kept in check, a thing which I believe I managed to do.
